17-18th April 2027 | Shorncliffe, QLD

Queensland Manx Viking Festival

Step into a world shaped by the ocean

The Queensland Manx Viking Festival celebrates the spirit and traditions of the world’s great seafaring cultures including Viking, Celtic, Indigenous Australian, Polynesian, Melanesian and Malay communities. Set beside a picturesque creek, the festival offers a welcoming space for families, history lovers and cultural explorers.

Experience living history displays, cultural demonstrations, music, song, dance and storytelling. Meet passionate reenactors and cultural representatives who bring ancient skills and traditions to life. Along the shoreline, crews from diverse cultures will take to the water in rowing, sailing and paddling events featuring Viking boats, curraghs, coracles and canoes.

The inaugural Queensland Manx Viking Festival is a free event at Shorncliffe on 17 and 18 April 2027, offering family fun and the chance to be part of a new Queensland tradition from its beginning.
